1. Awards

1.1 Boss Kills
4 DKP will be awarded for downing any boss in heroic Ulduar
4 DKP will be awarded for downing any Argent Coliseum boss
2 DKP will be awarded for downing heroic Onyxia.

1.2 Attendance
2 DKP is awarded for being on time and prepared at the start of the raid.

1.3 Ironman Bonus
3 DKP is awarded to any raider that stays on from the beginning to the end of a scheduled raid. Any instance of ninja afking will nullify this bonus, as will frequent or long afks in general. If you are unable to attend the entire raid, please do not sign up for it. We understand extenuating circumstances happen, just please let us know.

1.4 Reserve Raider DKP
Raiders who sign up but are not chosen to join a raid for whatever reason will receive DKP for each boss killed that night, and will receive attendance or ironman DKP. It is the responsibility of the reserve raider to let the loot master know they are available to sub in and, at the end of the night, that they stayed on the entire time. The loot master will then award DKP. Our DKP add-on cannot track reserves and the loot master already has enough going on. If we request a sub, you should be ready immediately.

1.5 Discretionary DKP
We reserve the right to award additional DKP in extenuating circumstances. Generally this will happen during progression wipe-fests when we feel that good work has gone into learning a boss, even if it is not defeated. Discretionary DKP awards are not limited to this scenario and may be awarded to an individual or raid for any legitimate reason, at the discretion of leadership.

1.6 DKP Penalties
SBC does not consider directly docking DKP an effective disciplinary measure and to date has this not been needed. Inappropriate behavior during a raid will however prompt a request to step out which impacts both boss downing awards and the ironman bonus for the night.

2. Bids

2.1 Costs (Minimum Bids)
Trophy of the Crusade: 5
Main Set: 5
Offset: 1

(This is at the discretion of the Guild. SBC and Seraphic split Crusader and Runed Orbs evenly)
Crusader orbs: 5
Runed orbs: 1 or 100g each

2.2 Bidding
We are using a closed-bid DKP system. Once a boss is downed the loot-master will link the first item in raid chat with instructions to bid. Interested raiders must whisper their bids within ten seconds. Please specify if it is a main or off-set bid. Whispers of "I want that." will be assumed to be minimum bids. If you do not specify we will assume main-set - please be specific. Main-set bids take priority.

The highest bidder wins the item, assuming they have the DKP. The winner pays the second-highest bid +1. If they bid alone then they will pay the minimum bid. If there are no bids then the item will be disenchanted.
NOTE: Because of Onyxia's curious "nostalgic" drops, we will offer free rolls on items that receive no bids (for Ony only)

Example: The axe, [Super Awesome Cleaver Dealio] drops off the boss OMFG-He's-Hard. Nelacar bids 40 and Groshnak bids 30. Nelacar receives the axe for a cost of 31 DKP.

3. Miscellaneous

3.1 New Raiders/PuGs and DKP
If you are new and don't have enough to bid on an item, you can still bid the minimum to get it. You'll be negative until you earn more, but we'd rather a new raider get it than it be disenchanted. If you tie with someone who isn't going negative to bid, they will win. PuGs receive DKP just as any other raider would and can also go negative bidding the minimum.

3.2 Switching your Main
Your dkp follows you, if the switch is authorized and does not impact the raid composition negatively. In layman's terms, YOU CANNOT ALTER YOUR MAIN ON YOUR OWN FREE WILL. You can, but you won't raid.

3.3 BOE Items
BoE drops are bid on normally. If no main or offset bids are made then the item goes to the guild bank and will eventually be liquidated.

if you want to purchase a BoE item that the guild is auctioning (for an alt or if you missed that raid or whatever), please discuss it with me (Groshnak) or another officer and we will negotiate a discounted price for you (often mats, consumables, etc - not just gold). Generally, DKP cannot be used to purchase these items, though exceptions may be made for raid-ready toons.

NOTE: you must be in the raid to bid on an item. You must use the item that you are bidding on, not sell it or give it to an alt. BoE epics are an awesome source of income, don't drive the guild down a hole.

3.4 GQuit
We discovered that our DKP addon wipes the log when a raider gquits. The short of this is that if you gquit, we understand. It happens. If you want to come back, we also understand and often will be happy to take you back, because we're all friends here. Your DKP however, will reset to 0. Make extra sure you're certain of your decision before you go!

3.5 In-Game Questions Concerning the DKP System
...should be directed to the Loot Master (Groshnak). Please consider carefully if questions for the loot master can wait until after the run. They should not be inundated with questions/comments while they are adjusting DKP values because errors in DKP are not fun. Of course some things need to be asked immediately - please use your judgment.
